About this print
Robed figures gather among crumbling classical ruins as a woman rests her hands on a great stone vase, all fine antique engraved line. Plates like this, from the 'Various Caprices' tradition of imagined ruins, were the daydreams of an era obsessed with antiquity. An atmospheric archival print for the classicist.
