About this print
Oystercatchers, those sharp beaked shorebirds, given the koban treatment by Utagawa Hiroshige around 1833. The small format bird and flower prints were Hiroshige's side hustle while he was becoming famous for landscapes. Compact, elegant and very much the kind of thing that makes a hallway feel considered.
