About this print
A memorial anniversary turns uncanny in this sheet from Hokusai's One Hundred Ghost Tales, a series inspired by the Edo pastime of trading spooky stories by lamplight. Only a handful of designs were ever published, which makes each one a rare treat. Hokusai, famous for waves, turns out to be just as good at the creeps.
