This vintage black and white photograph captures a Victorian-era performer in an elaborate costume featuring a dark jacket, checkered skirt, and ornate hat with feathers. The subject demonstrates remarkable balance while standing on what appears to be an early pogo stick and simultaneously playing a brass trumpet, set against a painted studio backdrop with cloudy sky.
Era: 1890s
