About this print
Four painted fritware tiles join up to form a single figural scene, made in Isfahan during the Safavid dynasty. In the 1600s Isfahan was the dazzling Safavid capital, and tile panels like this decorated its pavilions and palaces. Architecture you could read like a picture book, now small enough for a hallway.
