About this print
Two mounted samurai drive their horses through stylized waves, racing to be first across the Uji River. The pair spent the rest of literary history arguing about who won, one of them having stopped his rival mid-current to mention his saddle girth was loose. Painted on a festival banner, at banner scale, with banner subtlety.
