About this print
The right-hand sheet of a triptych in which the drowned Taira clan carry on their war at the bottom of the sea, still armored, still furious, several centuries into being dead. Kuniyoshi was the artist you went to for this kind of thing. Nobody else committed to the ghosts quite so literally.
